MORE than Japanese music, I love the way the Japanese television industry filmed their dramas. Nothing overly dramatic and succinct in conveying the story (usually adapted from novels, mangas or animes) in between 8 to 12 episodes. If it's a majorly popular series with an average of at least 10%-16% rating per episode, it'll span 3 seasons at most. The exception where a drama series is more than 12 episodes are mostly period / historical-fiction dramas known as Taiga, usually broadcast by NHK. These dramas are at least 40 to 50 episodes. The only such drama I had patience to watch was Atsu-Hime (Princess Atsu) featuring Aoi Miyazaki. I think it was THE best.
