I chanced upon this guy's site who hooked up his place with NTT Flets (Hikari) Fiber Optics Internet. It's a photo-log documentation of the entire installation that I feel it's worth checking out, 'cuz I think he subscribed to a phone line too tapping into the Fiber Optics - Japan Optic Fiber Internet.
